2011 Kia Forte Specs
2011 Forte EX and LX versions are powered by a 2.0-L four-cylinder engine that pumps out 156 horsepower and 144 lb-ft of torque. The SX trim features a .24-L I-4 engine good for generating 173 hp and torsion of about 168 pound-feet.
A six-speed automatic transmission is standard on the hatchbacks, which is optional on all other models, while sedan and coupe gets a standard 6-speed manual gearbox.
Gas Mileage
The estimated EPA fuel economy for the EX and LX with manual transmission are 25 mpg in city, 34 mpg on highway, resulting in an average mileage of 29 mpg. Surprisingly, the gas mileage bumps up to 26/36/29 with automatic transmission.
New Kia Forte gas mileage with the more powerful 2.4-L engine drops to 23 mpg in city, 32 mpg on hwy, and 30 mpg combined with automatic transmission. The numbers go further down to 22/32/29 with manual gear-shift.
